Die Ou Tronk!

This is by far one of my favourite places to visit!!

It is one of those places that tells a story just from one glance at every angle. Die Ou Tronk is located in the small town of Riversdal in the Western Cape.

As it says in the title it is an old jail that has been converted into a restaurant with little shops in each jail cell.

This is just a view of inside the jail grounds.

Photography on the beach….

Sometimes taking pictures unlocks a new world, or even better a new perspective.

The beauty of nature is extraordinary. A simple picture of seaweed and sea sand creates a whole new view of the ocean that wasn’t there before. It is remarkable.

The Seaview Lion Park 2016

This photo was taken at The Seaview Lion Park this year, by me. I try my best to do some photography when I have the chance. It is something I enjoy doing and I’m sure you will be seeing a lot more of it soon.

I love this picture for the simple reason that I love giraffes.

We arrived at The Lion Park just in time to witness the “feeding” of the Lions. This was interesting to watch how they eat and interact with each other while eating.

We need to stop forgetting to take care of our beautiful animals and world!

Groot Constantia 2016

During our trip to Cape Town, we visited this wine farm for dinner with our family.

It was founded by Simon van der Stel in 1685, where he lived and produced fine wines for 27 years. The history on this piece of land is impeccable, with restaurants and very interesting museums that I have personally visited.

This wine farm is one of South Africa’s most visited tourist attractions. When you visit this wine farm you will understand why.

If you are a lover of wine and fine dining DO NOT give this wine farm a miss!

The Spice Route 2016

My family and I recently went on our annual holiday to Cape Town.

We decided to take an afternoon drive to The Spice Route, which is very close to Paarl (it  is on the other side of the mountain to be exact). The Spice Route has different buildings and in each building they sell different things. There is a little coffee shop that sells handmade ice-cream, and locally roasted coffee beans. They are also the home of the CBC beer brewery. There is plenty more to visit, such as lovely restaurant and a chocolate shop with a huge variety of different chocolates from all over the continent.

As you can see we were surrounded by fields and wine farms. This is definitely a tourist attraction and somewhere that you should definitely visit.

I recommend that you visit soon!
